[ENG] Munich Project: Day 13

Today is one of the day I was waiting for. Because at afternoon we're going to the Studienkolleg and Ludwig Maximilian University! <3

My breakfast today was Weisswurst with sweet senf. I LOVE IT. So today began with the great feeling, not bad. I think this program I spent 99% of my whole money with food. No clothes shopping, no shoes, no! Just food and food lol

I had a very good mood as I went to school. In German class we had like the comprehension exercises. Mrs. Tinhofer gave us the orders and we had to follow / do it, so that she could know how much we understand German. I find this exercise very good because it was action. Everyone can see clearly that you understand or not. Not just nod and say 'yes, I got that' although it's not true.

The student library was locked so the Thais went to write the blogs and interviews in the cantine instead. We got the new task that we have to write the questions and answers of all interviews send to Mrs. Assmann because she has to report what we have done in Munich. I plan to write them with a pen.

The Thais had English class all together with grade 11 because grade 9 are still in France and grade 10 wrote the test, which means they had nothing to do during the class. So we all watched a film name 'The Witness'. This film is about the Amish who are the religious group of people who live in the U.S.A. They actually came from Germany, so they speak both English and German language. This film was not bad, I like it. The plot was also thrilling. Unfortunately, we had to leave the room before it ended because we had to eat lunch and take the train to do our next activities in Munich.

Bank, a Thai student who is now studying in Studienkolleg Munich came with us today... and also Maggi (Magdalena) and Lola. The Thais taught a basic Thai to Lola and Maggi too in the S-Bahn. They are so cute while speaking Thai. :D

We went at first to Studienkolleg. Sudienkolleg is an institute which prepares the foreigners to be able to study in the German university like the German students. I met the chief of Studienkolleg, Mrs. Weidenfeld and she explained us a lot about Studienkolleg. There are about 300 students a year and they are from different 55 countries. There are 4 courses separated by the faculties and subjects. W-course is for economics (Wirtschaft), T-course is for engineering, physics, mathematics (Technik), M-course is for medicine (Medizin) and the last one is G-course is for literature, psychology, languistics (Geistlich).
Bank told us about his story like why did he choose to study here in Germany or how could he find the apartment. Now it is extremely difficult to find place to live in Munich because there are too many students in the city. I am worry about this the most...

Bank said that it is very difficult and hard to study here. There are tests every week and everything is in German. I understand that very well because during my exchange year I have found that studying in German is not a piece of cake at all. But I can try it and I WILL try it of course. I won't give up!

Then we took a bus and the subway to the university. It was very impressive. I have never seen the university like this before in my whole life. Wow. It was so big and wide and luxurious and and and... I can't find a word further more. lol

We went through the main building and looked around the lecture room and the building. I ran around with Jinny. She was also very excited because she also wants to study here in LMU. We didn't get further information about the university because there was no guide for us. That's why we just watched around. I felt very motivated and strange. I really hope that I have an opportunity to study in such a place just once in my life. It would be really great experience.

This is the papers which the students handed out for demonstration against the Nazi during the 3rd Reich.

This is the monument of a student who got a Nobel prize.

The group of students who demonstrated against the Nazi name 'Weisse Rose'.

After the trip the others went home but I wanted to stay there for a while. I walked to Odeonplatz which is also beautiful. I went into 2 churches. The feeling surprised me a lot. It was like the another world which is quite and peaceful opposite to the street and chaos outside.

Then I went home and had dinner with my host family. Today there was bread, pumpkin soup and etc. many things to eat with bread like in the picture.
I love food <3 <3
